Time for a complete update! As my byline indicates I’ve been messing about online since 1979, first in NYC with my Bulletin Board System, New York Online, one of the first anywhere in the world to network independent journalism to the planet. NYOL ran from around 1983 to 1992 when I relocated to South Africa, working for the African National Congress, directing the creation of the Election Information Unit for the 1994 democratic election. In 1995 I started All Things Digital, an Internet development company that ran until the ‘bubble burst in 2000.

My background however is Fine Art and later 3-D design, lecturing in sculpture and when the Macintosh computer came along, desktop publishing. But mucking about with computers led me into all kinds of stuff from electronic and print publishing to radio and video, working with liberation movements in Africa and Central America as well as lecturing on Desktop Publishing at New York State University, the Fashion Institute in Manhattan (1991-1992).

In 2002 I ended up back in the city of my birth, London which is where I am to this day, beavering away.

In 2003 the invasion of Iraq prompted me to start writing once more and setting up my original Website, williambowles.info, which I still edit. But a couple of years ago I decided to create this site dedicated solely to my own writing, which now tops around 800 essays.

You can also find my  work published on a number of other sites including: Information Clearing House, Global Research, Dandelion Salad, Strategic Culture Foundation, ColdType, Black Agenda Report, Dissident Voice, 4th Media, Journal of PeopleMonthly Review, Climate and Capitalism, and who knows where else across the world, as well as being translated into an unknown number of languages but which include at the last count, Portugese, Spanish, Arabic, Serbian, German…

I have also had work published in print by Pluto Press, Art Institute of Chicago, the UNDP and elsewhere.

My latest venture is script writing with one movie hopefully in the works, a story that’s been burning a hole in me since 2001, presciently titled, ‘Dark Ages’.

That’ll do for now…

    (2) Here is a link to my timely and carefully developed article on the U.S. debt crisis.
Government Debt is not the Problem
The economic system generates the problem
    http://www.alternativeinsight.com/Government_Deficits_Are_Not_The_Problem-3.html

By not directly challenging the principal cause of the increasing debt, the trade deficit, Congress uselessly debates a debt crisis.

If you entertain publishing the article, you can either link or copy.

    Mr. Bowles,
Thank you for your excellent website.
I have been researching the situation in Libya, and I ran across your article about German TV and the Berlin nightclub bombing.
    http://www.williambowles.info/syria_lebanon/mehlis_berlin_disco.html

Wanting to know more, I look at your sources for this article. They are all from the WSWS website, which I have read many times, but when I searched for those articles, they were no longer on the WSWS website.
How strange! How ORWELLIAN! When I searched WSWS website on “Mossad” it gave me ONE article blaming Al-Qaeda for the Kenya embassy bombing, but buried in the article was a line about how a Mossad agent admitted being involved in the Berlin bombings (which is why I could find the article), but only very briefly. http://www.wsws.org/articles/2002/dec2002/keny-d05.shtml

I thought you might be interested in this. I certainly think that you correctly researched your own article, and since WSWS has other articles which date back to 1998, it seems strange to me that NONE of the article about Mossad are in their files.

Am I missing something? There is very little on the Internet about Mossad involvement in so many of the violence episodes in the Middle East, yet I am inclined to think their hand is in a lot of it.

    Peace and best wishes,
    Romi Elnagar

Re: banging on about the BBC. Maistry v BBC (2010) is worth following. The BBC argues that it’s values are no more than a mission statement like that of other corporations. The implications are obvious and I’d be happy to provide more detail.

I really need to update this but there are only 24 hours in a day and inbetween writing my own essays, updating williambowles.info and my other creative work (movie scripts, novels, multi-media projects I’m involved in), I’m running out, not only of time but of puff. But I promise that sometime, this century I will get around to it.
